Lily and Jacob met in middle school through a mutual group of friends. From the very beginning, their bond blossomed into a close friendship that lasted throughout their high school years. But Lily’s heart quietly held a big crush on Jacob, even though she found herself in the ever-dreaded friend zone.

Fast forward to the summer before their junior year of high school in 2015. Something shifted in the air, and Lily and Jacob started spending more time together. And then, on that magical July 4th, everything changed. With fireworks painting the night sky, Jacob mustered up the courage and asked Lily to be his girlfriend. It was a moment filled with anticipation and overflowing joy! From that day forward, their beautiful love story began to unfold.

Through the rest of high school and college, Lily and Jacob grew together, their love solidifying as they continued on life’s journey side by side. And here they are today, still as happy and deeply in love as the day they first started dating. Theirs is a love that has stood the test of time.

How He Asked

Last June, amidst the breathtaking beauty of Yosemite National Park, Jacob planned a soul-stirring surprise for Lily. For the past two summers, they had embarked on a special tradition, traveling from Mammoth Lakes to Bass Lake through Yosemite, savoring both of their family vacations. It was during this trip last year that Jacob saw an opportunity to make an unforgettable memory.

As they ventured to Glacier Point, a spot Jacob had been eagerly wanting to share with Lily, the stage was set for a moment that would forever change their lives. With the awe-inspiring scenery as their witness, Jacob got down on one knee and asked Lily to be his forever.

As they returned to Bass Lake, the lovebirds were greeted with a joyous celebration, their families eagerly awaiting their return. It was a picture-perfect moment, filled with so much love and support. The genuine smiles on their faces as they embraced their families speak volumes about the significance of that day.

Lily + Jacob, your love story is a testament to the power of finding love at an early age, of growing together and overcoming challenges, and of always cherishing the moments that make life truly meaningful. Your dedication to each other and the way you support one another is an inspiration to us all. I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to witness and document your love for eternity.
