Looking for Fresno Christmas mini sessions for updated family photos, Christmas cards, or simply a way to document your family this holiday season? This year, Ashley Norton Photography and FleurElise are bringing our holiday portraits somewhere new: a beautiful private greenhouse right here in Fresno.
The 2026 Greenhouse Holiday Portraits are designed to be quick, simple, and timeless. Each family will have five minutes in front of the camera, which is plenty of time to capture a beautiful mix of family portraits, photos of the kids, and those little in-between moments along the way.
FleurElise will be styling the Christmas set again this year, bringing the same thoughtful approach you may recognize from our holiday sessions last Christmas. Depending on the weather, we’ll photograph around the greenhouse, inside it, or a mix of both, creating light and timeless Christmas portraits with the focus kept on your family.

Fresno Christmas Mini Sessions at a Private Greenhouse
This year’s Christmas mini sessions are moving to an entirely new setting: a beautiful white greenhouse in Fresno. FleurElise will be designing the holiday styling, creating a classic Christmas setting that feels festive without taking the focus away from your family.
The exact experience will be a little weather dependent. On a beautiful November day, we’ll be able to use the outdoor areas surrounding the greenhouse. If the weather keeps us inside, the white greenhouse will give us a bright, cozy space for your portraits instead.
Either way, the goal is the same: light, timeless Christmas photos that feel just as beautiful on your Christmas cards this year as they will framed in your home years from now.
What to Wear for Your Fresno Christmas Mini Session
Wardrobe can make a big difference in the final look of your Christmas photos, especially with a beautifully styled holiday setting. I recommend choosing colors and textures that feel festive and timeless while still feeling like your family.
Soft neutrals
Creams
Warm oatmeal
Sandstone
Soft beige
Muted browns
These tones create a light, timeless look and photograph beautifully for Christmas portraits.
Deep Christmas tones
Forest green
Wine red
Deep cranberry
Rust
Navy
Deeper colors can add that classic Christmas feel without making your photos feel overly themed. Mixing in textures like knits, velvet, linen, or subtle plaids can also add interest without everyone needing to match.
What to avoid
Large logos
Neon or bright primary colors
Busy, high-contrast prints
Very dark black outfits (they can photograph a little harsh indoors)
Before your session, you’ll also receive a complete styling guide with outfit inspiration, color combinations, shopping links, and tips for coordinating the whole family.
Christmas Photos for Families and Children
These Christmas mini sessions are perfect whether you’re hoping for an updated family portrait, photos of your children together, or a little bit of both. I’ll work through a few different combinations during your session so you have a variety of images to choose from.
The five-minute format also works especially well for families with young children. After photographing so many little ones during last year’s Christmas minis, I found that keeping things short and moving quickly gave us plenty of time to capture the photos parents wanted without asking kids to stay engaged for too long.
And if your little one is wiggly, shy, or not particularly interested in smiling for the camera, that’s completely okay. Some of my favorite images are often the little moments that happen in between.
Looking for Santa Photos in Fresno?
If you’re hoping to include a little extra Christmas magic in your photos this year, I’m also offering a Private Santa Experience in Fresno on November 14.
Families will have private time with Santa and Mrs. Claus for storytelling, cookies, natural interactions, and classic Santa portraits. It’s a completely separate experience from the Greenhouse Holiday Portraits, so families are welcome to book one or both.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the Christmas mini sessions take place?
The Greenhouse Holiday Portraits will take place at a private greenhouse in Fresno, CA. The exact location and arrival details will be shared with booked families before their session.
What happens if it rains?
One of the benefits of the greenhouse is that we have flexibility with the weather. If it’s a beautiful day, we may photograph both inside and around the greenhouse. If it rains, we can keep the session inside the greenhouse.
Are five minutes really enough for family photos?
Yes! I used the same five-minute format for last year’s Christmas mini sessions, and it worked incredibly well, even with babies, toddlers, and young children. I work quickly and keep things moving so we can capture a variety of portraits in a short amount of time.
Can I purchase more than three images?
Absolutely. Your session includes three edited digital images of your choice. Once you receive your gallery, you’ll have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery.
Can we take photos of just the kids?
Yes! Your session can include the whole family, just the children, or a mix of both.
