It’s time to warm yourself a mug of hot cocoa, light that crackling fire to get your living room extra toasty, and wrap yourself in a warm blanket to read about this snowy engagement session at Shaver Lake!
Well, I suppose you could skip the cocoa and the crackling fire. I’m still a fan of the warm blanket, though. Especially if tea and warm socks are involved.
Katelyn and Trevor decided to do their engagement session at Shaver Lake because Bald Mountain, which is a little north of the lake, is one of their favorite places. They actually became engaged on the top of the mountain! I always love it when couples encorporate favorite memories into their engagement session.
We weren’t expecting snow for their session, but we were flexible and made it work! Katelyn swapped out her heels for some boots and they threw on some extra layers to make it happen. If you’re considering a winter engagement session, I highly recommend bringing layers! The weather can be more unpredictable than in the summer or fall. You’ll need to be ready for a variety of temperatures. It can go from sunny and bright to overcast and windy within minutes. Hand warmers wouldn’t hurt! I also like to give my couples breaks to warm up throughout the session.

Katelyn and Trevor, I had such a great time working with you! It was so clear to me how much love you two share with one another. I appreciated getting to watch you two see the bets in each other, and make more special memories together. I can’t wait to capture your wedding this coming spring!
