These Lost Lake summer maternity photos have me feeling everything because Destiny’s little boy made his arrival a few weeks ago!
I first met Destiny several years ago when I did some headshots for her as a mini session promo I was running at the time. We instantly clicked, and later found each other on social media. A little side note – I absolutely love connecting with clients on social media because it makes it so much easier for me to stay in touch after our session together.
Maintaining relationships with my is incredibly vital to the way I run my business. Each client is so different from the next! I want to get to know your story so I can know how to best bring your photos to life.
I got to follow along Destiny’s pregnancy journey via social media, so when she reached out for maternity photos, I couldn’t wait to bring her ideas to life!

Lost Lake is a local favorite among Fresno photographers for several reasons!
Firstly, it’s so gorgeous in all seasons! The inside of Lost Lake has so much natural greenery through the local trees and shrubbery. Th San Joaquin River that runs through the area provides several different area that we can photograph.
Second, it’s not too far from civilization. Lost Lake is approximately 10 minutes outside of Fresno, sitting just inside Friant. It’s a super convenient drive to make if you don’t want to head all the way to Shaver Lake or Yosemite, but still want some beautiful scenery.
Destiny really wanted photos that gave off an ethereal, mermaid vibe. She absolutely nailed it! I loved her flower crown, and her sheer white dress was simply perfect.
If you’re wondering whether booking a maternity session is worth it, I say go for it! As that little one grows, you’ll want to remember what is was like to feel those first movements inside your growing belly.
Maternity photos give you the opportunity to relive that time through keepsake photographs and albums that you can look back on, and show your child when they start asking. Maternity sessions are also an ideal time for some self care. You can order that fancy dress, get your hair + make-up done, splurge on a manicure, and treat yourself! Pregnancy is a wonderful time full of so many changes, and it’s also a lot of hard work on your end. You deserve the chance to be spoiled before your little one arrives!
