Kalie came to this session ready to go! She had a Pinterest board filled with poses she wanted to try out, which always makes me so excited. I love it when my clients are as excited for their session as I am. Bring on the Pinterest boards – I’m always down to try something new or out-of-the-box for my sessions!
Kalie + John decided on Lost Lake for their pregnancy announcement session because of the gorgeous open fields.
It turned out to be a lot colder and quite a bit foggier than we expected. It definitely gave a unique look to their session, and let most of the focus be on the love Kale + John already have for their little baby.
I love that the fog helps Kalie + John stand out against the green grass and dark treeline.
They also chose to bring lots of different options for props! From ultrasounds to onesies + hats, I love the creativity that props can bring to a session.
I try to always include photos like this in session announcements – from seniors to engagements and newborn. It makes it so much easier for my clients to add text to the photos if they want to send out cards, or post a message on social media.
I love simplifying the photo process for my clients!
The online gallery I use for all of my clients has a section dedicated to different types of cards, so you can actually order announcement cards straight from your gallery within 5 minutes!
The mom + dad baseball caps ended up being some of my favorite photos from their pregnancy announcement session!
I’ve also been trying something new for my sessions!
If the weather and background cooperates, I like to add GIFs to my sessions. They make these cute looped videos, and allow me to get lots of great still photos like the ones below.
We finished off their session on a log nearby to create these, which ended up being my absolute favorite photos from their session.
