Wolf Lakes Wedding in Clovis

Amanjyot and Paul’s Wolf Lakes wedding in Clovis was the beautiful grand finale to an unforgettable wedding weekend filled with love, tradition, and joyful connection. Their Western wedding and reception took place on Sunday, May 4, at the Lakeside venue at Wolf Lakes Park. The entire weekend was a reflection of their deep bond and their grounded love for one another.

A Peaceful First Look at Shinzen Friendship Garden

Before heading to Wolf Lakes Park, Amanjyot and Paul began their day with a quiet first look at the Shinzen Friendship Garden in Woodward Park. The garden offered a serene space for them to share a few moments alone before the whirlwind of celebration. Framed by Japanese maple trees, soft green foliage, and wooden bridges, the space matched the calm, intentional energy they bring to each other. Paul turned to see Amanjyot for the first time in her white gown, and they immediately melted into one another’s embrace—tender, grounded, and ready for the day ahead.

Their connection was so evident in these quiet in-between moments. While weddings can often be busy and full of noise, Amanjyot and Paul found moments of stillness with each other. Whether it was a glance, a soft handhold, or leaning into each other mid-laugh, they were always tuned into one another.

Why Couples Love Wolf Lakes Park

After portraits at the garden, we traveled to Wolf Lakes Park to begin the ceremony and reception. If you’ve never visited before, Wolf Lakes Park is a wonderful choice for a wedding venue. Tucked away just outside the city of Clovis, Wolf Lakes offers two distinct private venues for couples to choose from: the Lakeside venue and the English Garden venue.

The Lakeside venue, where Amanjyot and Paul tied the knot, features a beautiful waterfront ceremony site framed by trees and lush landscaping. Guests are seated facing the lake, with a paved aisle leading to a charming arbor. This venue includes a spacious, open-air reception pavilion with views of the lake and garden. With built-in lighting, fans, and protection from the sun, it’s an ideal location for warm-weather celebrations.

The English Garden venue at Wolf Lakes, by contrast, offers a more floral, traditional garden feel. With white arbors, a central fountain, and manicured flower beds, it’s a romantic choice for couples looking for a storybook garden backdrop. Both venues offer full privacy, dedicated dressing rooms, and excellent service from the Wolf Lakes team, but for Amanjyot and Paul, the Lakeside setting fit perfectly with their vision of peace, beauty, and celebration by the water.

Ceremony by the Water

The ceremony was touching and elegant. As guests arrived and settled into their seats facing the lake, the atmosphere felt both peaceful and joyful. The weather was perfect! Soft spring skies, filtered sunshine, and a light breeze that danced through the trees. When Amanjyot walked down the aisle with her long veil flowing behind her, Paul’s face lit up with the most genuine expression. Every part of the ceremony reflected their love: grounded, warm, and full of intention.

A Weekend Full of Wedding Traditions

This day came at the close of a very full wedding weekend. Their celebration began Thursday evening with a vibrant Jago ceremony at Grace Barn. The next day, on Friday, Amanjyot and Paul were married in a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony at the Sikh Temple Association of Fresno. It was a meaningful day rich in heritage and spiritual beauty.

By the time Sunday arrived, their families had already shared days of prayer, dancing, and celebration, but the energy hadn’t waned. Their Wolf Lakes wedding in Clovis brought everyone together one last time to honor their Western ceremony and enjoy a night of dinner and dancing beneath the stars.

After the ceremony, guests moved to the Lakeside reception pavilion where twinkling lights and greenery created a romantic outdoor setting. The reception design was elegant and simple, allowing the natural beauty of the venue to shine. As the sun dipped lower, the lake reflected golden hues, and laughter floated across the tables.

An Unforgettable Dance Floor

One of the highlights of the evening was the dance floor. From the moment the music started, it was clear that this crowd came ready to celebrate. Paul and Amanjyot’s first dance was full of warmth and presence. You could feel how much joy they took in simply being together. Then the energy shifted and the dance floor came alive. Guests of all ages joined in, and the music kept flowing. Everything from traditional songs to classic wedding hits.

There were emotional speeches, group hugs, and bursts of laughter between dances. Friends clapped to the rhythm while relatives took turns showing off their moves. It was such a fun, spirited atmosphere—truly a celebration of the couple’s community and culture. And even during the high-energy moments, Amanjyot and Paul kept finding each other. A quick spin, a shared smile, or a slow sway reminded everyone what the day was all about.

Quiet Love in the Midst of Celebration

What stood out most throughout the day was their quiet strength as a couple. They have a grounded way of moving through the world—never rushed, always present. Their love isn’t loud or flashy, but steady, deep, and deeply felt. Whether they were walking across a bridge at the garden, sharing vows by the lake, or dancing late into the night, they moved together with ease and peace.

As a wedding photographer, it was such an honor to witness and capture those layers of love. There’s something incredibly special about documenting not just a wedding, but a whole wedding weekend filled with cultural significance, family warmth, and personal meaning. Amanjyot and Paul’s wedding was the kind that stays with you long after the last dance.
