Christina + Bryson’s Millerton Lake Engagement Photos

Several years before we took their Millerton Lake engagement photos, Christina + Bryson met when Christina’s roommate in college posted a picture with her now fiancé, Bryson, in it at a family function back in 2018. Bryson and her roommate were cousins! I love it when fate steps in like that. He eventually came up to visit, and love blossomed very quickly. They’ve been together since.

Christina + Bryson had talked about an engagement happening a few months before he proposed. She wanted to feel prepared and know when it would happen. One night, Bryson pulled out the ring and proposed in their pajamas in their home! She said yes, and now November can’t come quick enough!

When Christina asked for some local recommendations for their engagement photos, I had a feeling that Millerton Lake would be perfect for them. The area changes a bit throughout the year. It dries up quite a bit in the summer and fall months, so its well known for golden, dry grass fields. When the winter months bring rainfall, the area transports you across the world to the rolling green hills of Ireland. My favorite time of the year for Millerton Lake? Spring! The green grass begins to turn golden, with beautiful spots of color as the wildflowers make their way across the hills.
