Fall Engagement Photos at Shaver Lake

Chelsea + Nathan’s Shaver Lake Engagement

If you’ve been following me, you know Shaver Lake is one of my favorite spots for any type of session. The tall pines, seasonal meadows, and gorgeous lakeside make Shaver Lake a perfect location – especially for an engagement session! Shaver Lake is within 30 miles of Fresno, about an hour-long drive. That means I don’t charge any extra mileage for sessions in Shaver Lake!

Chelsea + Nathan met on a blind date within a week of them (separately) celebrating their birthdays. Talk about the perfect gift!

Chelsea + Nathan had another reason for their engagement session at Shaver Lake.

Shaver Lake has always been a special + sacred place for their relationship. They go often, and recently became engaged on a birthday trip they took with family + friends to Shaver Lake!

Chelsea also asked if they could bring their dog, Clover, along for a few photos. The answer to that is pretty much always going to be yes. Clover took her job very seriously, and was a very good girl!

Soon, Nathan’s dad took Clover home and it was time to explore the forest a bit more.

Another exciting part about Shaver Lake? You can switch up locations within a 5 minute drive!

I love the green peasant dress that Chelsea wore for the first part of their engagement session!

It gave their session a more “folksy” vibe, and looked so gorgeous paired with the greenery and the lakeshore. Chelsea + Nathan wanted to mix it up, and switched outfits for the last portion of the session. We also changed up our location a bit more, and headed to the shoreline.

We finished their engagement session with some lanterns and the gorgeous forest scenery.

I can’t wait for Chelsea + Nathan’s wedding this upcoming May! If it’s anything like their engagement session was, it’s going to be such a beautiful, joyful day.
