Valerie and Dallin’s love story began in the most unexpected way—at their first job together at Little Caesars. Valerie, a junior, and Dallin, a senior, went to the same high school, but their paths had never crossed until that fateful day.

On Valerie’s first day at work, someone mentioned Dallin to her, sharing that he happened to go to the same high school as her. And then, on her second day, she caught a glimpse of the cutest guy working the cash register. Valerie’s heart skipped a beat—this had to be the same Dallin they had mentioned. It was like something out of a movie. As their shift progressed, they finally had the chance to officially meet, and sparks flew.

But life took them in different directions after high school. Dallin embarked on a two-year church mission, and yet their connection remained unbreakable, even from afar. When he returned home in 2019, fate seemed to play another twist. Dallin’s family had uprooted and moved all the way to Maryland for his dad’s job. Distance couldn’t dim their love. Valerie, filled with excitement, decided to finish her last semester of college in Southern California and then made the leap to Maryland to be with Dallin. A stroke of luck landed her a job there through connections they knew.

And then, on a gorgeous day at a picturesque park, their love story took another beautiful turn. Valerie and Dallin found themselves standing on a dock by the water. And amidst that idyllic setting, Dallin reached into his pocket, pulled out a ring box, and dropped to one knee. The moment took Valerie’s breath away. The box was upside down, but with a grateful sigh of relief, the ring stayed put. And just like that, they began their journey into forever.
