Engagement sessions are more than just a collection of pretty photos. They capture the essence of a couple’s love, story, and anticipation of their impending union. One such beautiful love story unfolded during Jess and Robert’s engagement session near San Diego. I had the pleasure of capturing the magic of their love at Robert’s family lakeside home in El Centro!
Why take engagement photos?

They also offer the couple an opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and with their photographer, ensuring that they feel at ease on their wedding day.
When Jess and Robert reached out to me to capture their engagement photos, they knew exactly where they wanted to tell their love story: the beautiful lake near Robert’s childhood home in El Centro. This location held a special place in their hearts. It was a backdrop to many cherished moments they had shared. From lazy days spent by the serene waters to exhilarating boat rides, the lake was the canvas of their love story, making it the perfect setting for their engagement session.
The day of the shoot arrived, and with the shimmering lake as our backdrop, we set out to capture the magic between Jess and Robert. The air buzzed with indescribable energy as they strolled along the shoreline, stealing affectionate glances and sharing tender moments. From sharing laughter at the dock to stealing a kiss on the boat, their photos echoed the narrative of their love, becoming timeless snapshots of their journey together.
