San Joaquin River Parkway Wedding
Holly and Grant’s wedding at the San Joaquin Valley River Parkway was a celebration of love, tradition, and the importance of cherishing time with loved ones. Although I was unable to personally shoot their wedding due to my pregnancy, my associate team did an incredible job of capturing the essence of their special day.
Holly and Grant’s love story began when they were next-door neighbors in the first-year apartments at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. The proximity of their living spaces fostered a deep connection from the early days of their college experience, which eventually led to a romantic beach proposal on their recent trip back to California.
One of Holly and Grant’s top priorities for their wedding was spending quality time with their guests. They made sure that every guest felt welcomed, appreciated, and included in their celebration. The couple’s genuine warmth and hospitality created an atmosphere of togetherness and camaraderie where love and friendship thrived. Their commitment to creating meaningful memories with loved ones made their wedding an unforgettable celebration of love, tradition, and the power of togetherness.

The San Joaquin River Parkway is a breathtakingly beautiful location for weddings. It offers a picturesque landscape that is ideal for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. The River Parkway’s expansive green lawn, historic mansion, and gardens provide ample space for guests to congregate and celebrate. The serene ambiance of the natural surroundings creates an intimate and peaceful setting for the exchange of vows.
Their first dance song, “Forever and Ever Amen,” was also the first dance song for both sets of parents! This signified the union of two families and the continuation of love through generations. The heartfelt moment embodied the couple’s commitment to tradition and their desire to honor their families on their special day.
The cake, made by the same bakery that created Holly’s parents’ wedding cake, beautifully honored the enduring spirit of marriage and the strong family connections across generations. Its delicate design and delicious flavors symbolized the lasting love and tradition within the family.
Holly and Grant, thank you for choosing my business to photograph your wedding. It was an honor to be a part of your special day. I’m thrilled that my associate team was able to capture the beauty and warmth of your love story!
