Laura and Raymond’s story began in 2015. Laura found herself as the only single one among her three female roommates, who all had boyfriends. The girls had made plans for a cozy dinner with their significant others, leaving Laura feeling left out. As fate would have it, Laura had a night class at Fresno State. Sitting in her Sociology class, slightly bored, she decided to text her cousin for some company. She asked if he had any friends she could be set up with, not realizing that this request would change her life forever.

To her surprise, her cousin said he did have someone in mind. His name was Raymond, and Laura, curious to know who he was, asked her cousin to send her a picture. Upon approval, Laura allowed her cousin to share her number with Raymond, which would mark the beginning of their beautiful journey together.

A Cause for Celebration

Let’s fast forward to Raymond’s birthday in October, where excitement was in the air as we began making plans for his 29th celebration. His mom planned a special event at Toca Madera Winery, which sparked some suspicion for Laura. After all, Raymond didn’t particularly enjoy wine, and it seemed odd to throw him a big party when he would be turning 30 the following year. Little did Laura know, this birthday celebration was about to become an unforgettable moment in their love story.

As they arrived at the winery, Raymond’s mom cleverly distracted Laura, giving him time to set his plan in motion. Laura was met with a breathtaking surprise as she walked in, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Down the walkway stood Raymond, with a twinkle in his eye and love pouring from his heart. It was the perfect proposal, filled with romance and the joy of being surrounded by loved ones.
