Carissa + Cody’s Lifestyle Newborn Christmas Photos in Clovis

Noel was welcomed to the world 5 weeks earlier than her due date. Her mother, Carissa, shared the above message on social media when Noel first arrived, and it has resonated with me since. My hope for Noel’s Christmas newborn photos was to reflect the sincerity of Carissa’s words.

I’ve known both Carissa and Cody for several years now. We worked for a local organization, Care Fresno, that provided after-school programming and additional resources to apartment complexes in our community with historically high rates of crime and poverty. I also met my husband, Kyle, through my time in this organization. Kyle lived with Cody at one of the apartment complexes for some time, while I worked alongside Carissa at the organization’s main office. We’ve all been intertwined in one another’s lives for years.

Carissa and Cody initially asked me to take their maternity photos at Shaver Lake. They’ve spent many day trips, evenings, and even their honeymoon at Shaver Lake. Needless to say, a maternity session at Shaver Lake would have been perfect for them. Noel made her arrival just before the session was scheduled. We rescheduled their session to wait until Noel had a chance to grow a little more.

Noel grew every single day by the grace of God! She now fits into her newborn outfits, and was ready for her Christmas newborn photos.
