Stephanie + Glenn’s Downtown Fresno Anniversary Photos

Stephanie and Glenn’s Downtown Fresno anniversary session was special for soooo many reasons! It would take way too long to list all of them, so I condensed it down to 3 main points:

• They celebrated two year of marriage! I know this industry makes such a big deal about weddings, but they really are just a celebration to kick off a wonderful life together.

• Stephanie and myself are both associate shooters for Megan Helm Photography! I’ve shot many weddings alongside Stephanie this year. Stephanie was even the second shooter for my own wedding, she she took our “day-after” portraits in Yosemite! It was an honor to finally get Stephanie and Glenn on the other side of the lens.

• In addition to photography, Stephanie is also an architect! No, she doesn’t walk around all day with building plans waiting for her big break like Hallmark wants us to believe. (I only know because I had to ask…) However, you’ll have to head to the end of this blog post to see some of her work.

I’m a huge fan of anniversary sessions. My husband, Kyle, and myself recently took our first anniversary portraits on our trip to Banff National Park. We’re so glad we set aside that time to celebrate how much we grew in our first year of marriage! I’m excited to someday look back on those photos, and show loved ones some of the wonderful memories we made

Stephanie and Glenn decided to spend their anniversary at The Darling in Visalia. I know what you’re thinking – Ashley, this doesn’t look like Visalia?

Unfortunately, the rainy weather changed our plans at the last minute. In true photographer-style, Stephanie and Glenn were super flexible. We still made some magic happen a few days earlier than planned in Downtown Fresno!

We spent the first half hour on a rooftop parking garage in Downtown. I spotted some fall foliage from the top, and we drove 6 floors down to take some photos before the wind blew it away.

Remember how I said Stephanie is a superhero? She’s actually a full-time architect/photographer on the weekends, which is basically the same thing.

At the end of the session, Stephanie led us to an office space warehouse near our cars. She designed the building! We spotted an office worker coming in from lunch, and she let us in to take a few photos in the lobby.

Superhero, am I right?
